Attending: MVUA membership, invited guests and All-East Sports

Breakfast was served to the membership promptly at 8:00am. At 8:30, President Tim welcomed the membership and introduced the invited guests.  

Board member Ted Houhlihan was the first presenter of the day. Ted spoke about changes that may be brought forward in the next year as Massachusetts moves towards Federation Rules.

Steve Collins followed Ted with his presentation of game management.

Upon Steve’s completion of his presentation, the President called upon two of the guest speakers to say a few words to the membership.

Next was the presentation of the Joe Cardran Award. This year the award was presented to Board member, Mark Trafton.

Bill Clifford addressed the membership speaking about the clinics offered by the MVUA and the importance of members attending the clinics.

Next the new candidates were introduced to the membership and awarded their patches.

Ron Annand, MVUA’s Interpreter, reviewed the Take Home Test.

At this time, the President led the membership through the voting process for the following positions: 2nd Vice-President, Treasurer and three (3) Director-at-Large positions. There were no nominations for the floor for any of the positions. The President instructed the Secretary to enter one ballot for each position. The following members were elected: Dave Kennedy, 2nd VP, Kevin Regan, Treasurer, and Directors-at-Large: Ed Carver, Ted Houhlihan and Mark Denoncourt.

Bill Clifford then led the membership into the Round Table Discussions.

Upon completion of the Round Table Discussions, Tom Torrisi made a presentation on the “Correct Way to Make an Appeal”

Upon the conclusion of Tom’s presentation, the President gave his closing remarks to the membership. At 11:20 the Secretary made a motion to close the Annual Meeting and adjourn. The motion was seconded by Ed Carver and the vote was unanimous to adjourn.
